Is financial support available?Depending on sponsorship coming into question the company, the apprentice or a third party have to apply.
The responsible Chamber offers consultation and advice.
If no comprehensive sponsorship is available, linguistic and cultural preparation, travel costs and the first three weeks of the stay abroad can be covered by the programme “Let’s go”. The apprentice applies for the funding himself. |

Do I have insurance coverage while I am abroad?Each participant should take care that the following insurances are contracted:

How to make sure that I will not miss too much at college?A teaching agreement will be concluded between apprentice and college.
The apprentice informs the college about the planned stay abroad. Conjointly it will be agreed on how teaching will be organised during the time of absence.
To ensure that the apprentice will not miss lessons an arrangement with technical instructors is necessary. E-Learning, teaching via Internet is a suitable solution to ensure training during the time abroad. VET schools use systems like Moodle or Illias. The VET school instructs the apprentice in using the system. Apprentice and VET school agree formally on the training course during the stay abroad in time and content. |
